As you may have noticed, we have put up temporary plexiglass on the counters of the reception desk. This is to protect you from our staff, and our staff from you. Since you can be asymptomatic for up to 14 days prior to experiencing symptoms, no one knows who has it, so every person needs to proceed as if we, ourselves, have the virus, and should take precautions to protect others from getting it from us.
If you have beliefs that this is a hoax, please understand, this is about life and death, and we prefer to err on the side of caution. If the scientists are wrong and we can go back to life as we knew it, nothing would make us happier! But what if they are right? With all of the science courses Dale and our daughters have taken, we tend to agree with science. We need to be as cautious as we can. We are trying to protect our staff and their families, and you and your loved ones, while at the same time taking care of your pets, and providing income for our staff and ourselves.
We are limited somewhat in what we can do, and this is up to the governor of Iowa, Kim Reynolds. If your pet needs a nail trim, you can get that done at Petco.
We have recently opened an online store and pharmacy. You can access it through our website (on the front page, look for the red button), as well as on our Facebook page (look for the "Shop Now" blue button which is located just under our banner at the top showing a picture of the clinic). We did this to help the people who are more at risk--they can still order meds and even food for their pets without leaving home, and they will be delivered to them in approximately 4 to 5 days. If Dr. Dale gets sick, or we have another wave and get shut down completely next time, you can get what you need.
We do have some rules that everyone must follow when in our clinic.
